Anuvadak: Google Translate with Text to Speech for Windows Phone

Download: is.gd In this video, we take a look at a new Google Translate app for Windows phone. In the past, we’ve seen many google translate apps for the platform, but they’ve looked quite outdated. Google recently released an official translate app for Android, but we’ve yet to see one for Windows Mobile. Thankfully, a developer has decided to make his own google translate app that mimics what you can find on Android. Called Anuvadak, it has advanced features like text to speech, send via sms, and includes over 50 languages to choose from.

@jackpiston WinMo isn’t dead; Windows Mobile Smartphone, however is dead. There are few apps that are useful or free for Windows Mobile Smarphone. Touchscreen/Professional on the other hand; is a TOTALLY different story.

Question: I downloaded the Windows Phone 7 SDK // .NET 4 // Developer tools. I wanted to test out the Windows Mobile 7 platform, the way you do in your videos, but I haven’t been able to get it on the emulator. How do I do this? I’ve also downloaded the unlocked .bin file.

this is for all windows mobile phones right? not just the hd2?

  • Kalavere

@markbyrn I’m willing to bet you’ve never flashed a custom ROM on a WM 6.5 based device. THe HD2 is still a very capable device, it does everything any other phone does, and it does it better. And if you aren’t interested in the inane apps available for other platforms you can’t be disappointed.

@WP7S Have some self-respect and get an Android phone before you start cutting on Apple.

  • WP7S

@markbyrn what? can’t hear you… signal loss. Didn’t Steve Jobs tell you not to hold it that way? WRONG PLATFORM
