I agree with you. Android can be powerful gaming platform, just like iPhone, but performance on lower end phones is terrible. MSM7200A (ati imageon + arm11) isn’t very bad. Maybe it’s slower than PowerVR MBX, but iPhone has MBX lite, so it should have similar performance. Problem is SDK which is java and that’s why even 2D games are running slowly. Android also have big processor usage while touching screen – they should already fix this but they didn’t. Sry for my bad English :]
Nice but comparing games’ Performance, Quality and Graphics to iphone i think iphone takes the tophy. However the future is of Android but still Extreme Gaming on iphone FTW..
P.S I AM NOT AN APPLE FANBOY NEITHER DO I HAVE AN IPHONE OR ANDROID DEVEICE.. I JUST GAVE MY OPINION.
Android will always be on the back-foot in terms of graphics because of manufacturers not using a specific GPU like Apple. Gameplay wise its nearly up there with the iPhone, it just needs more quality games.
I have a milestone currently, game selection isn’t that bad for android but its not as good as the iphone thats for sure, at e3 they had Sonic 4 and final fantasy tactics announced!

the only good thing about android is the emulators, I pretty much bought all of them and they offer better experience than most android games.
Still no comparison between Apple and Android, until the Google Games platform comes out. I love both OS’s because of varying reasons, but I use Apple for pure apps, and games, and Android for customization
