Nexus One , Google Sends Wake Up Call
In the Search engine business , you will probably heard of the terms “ Internet Marketing “, selling physical product online can make some money .
Yes , We heard of Google’s intent to pull out of China Market and may lose some revenue but why is Google setting up this webstore to sell Smart phone . Do they think they can start another Ebay , using the webstore to kick off the first round of Physical product sales online ,thus replacing the revenue loss from China’s pullout ?.
Will they set up auction type of business similar to ebay , or are they just trying to kill the iphone ?
Or is it that they are so eager to get into the Twitter type of business to incorporate more features to smart phone and to generate more application to their Smart Phone business while using new Google application .
Well it’s a Guess . Nobody truly knows .
As Google has proven to be the master strategist before , and they mostly like have a card in their sleeve
Well one thing for sure , they are truly selling online and this online store , if proven successful this could set aside all the other major players in the current Telco business typically in America “Off their Course ” . Consumers may benefits with a faster , cheaper and more flexible service for all Mobile users.
From their Online store , Google clearly states Nexus one will be the US first carrier- independent smartphone store , which means for every phone chosen , customer are allowed to select their preferred Phone first ,then select independently from a wide platform of corresponding Networks and Plans .Customer therefore can make their prices comparison among the networks based on price and network service quality , and as the trends catches on , big boys ,like Nokia , Sony , Samsung all may have to do the same .
With this Nexus One Launch , in my opinion , it will not change the Core business model which Google has been working since it’s incorporation especially in the search engines Core line with their online advertisement business .
But judging by Twitter’s immensely strong growth since last 2 years , maybe Google aims to make Microblogging or mlogging the Next advertisement frontier , especially for smartphone advertisement .
Here to boost its position in the Telco business , Google rolls out their own Smartphone running on Google ’s android operating system software .Next all the software companies will start coming out with hundreds of application software for the Nexus One , and among them , another Twitter – like new generation application will evolves again with new application for the Social Networking and Social media fields.
