    Yes i agree! however it does have tx facility and also does a lot more modes including cw. I will try a qso including tx in a future video.

    if you could find a way to tx on it, you could use it with a yaesu ft-817d and have a light weight qrp digital sation. that gives a bunch of great ideas.

    Hi Simon thanks for the reply well me and Trevor M0TWS was playing around and we had 2 qsos on 20m with my ft897 and my beam we did it with the mike but we are building a interface and we are going to give it a go. Simon thanks for putting the video on Youtub keep up the good work mate

    Hi Steve, I have’nt tried it yet on TX but it should work as I have managed to set up the templates ok. All pretty staight forward just hold the PD up to the mic its pretty neat. 73 good luck. Simon
